Martial Arts

Wushu / Kungfu, karate, capoeira, kickboxing, pencak silat, kendō, nguni stick fighting. A total of fifteen martial arts from all over the world come together in Wereldmuseum Amsterdam from today. The Martial Arts exhibition shows the power and beauty of martial arts, but also the traditions and stories behind the sport: personal motivations and the broader historical and social backgrounds. The visitor steps into the ring himself and gains insight into the world behind the martial arts with which hundreds of millions of people worldwide shape their lives.
